Sepi (loneliness) is one of the best Malaysian movies I've ever watched in these past years. Believe it or not. I've been waiting for something like this for so long! It was so engaging and it didn't take me too long before I got absorbed into the storyline. It did not show people battling against time to get to work or something related to our daily responsibilities, it was basically narrowed down on how people feel and act when they are in love and out of love. It's just refreshing when some scenes that got me thinking, "Yea, I've been there before and maybe still am stuck there." I so feel this movie. Kudos to Kabir Bhatia for having to touch lives of someone like me by means of a movie. Here are some quotes (something along these lines, I can't really remember the real lines) in the movie that hit me in the face. The human touch thing worked on me. Jeez. 1. Why do we have to meet someone only to say goodbye? 2. "Once you've found your loved one, you'll never let them go." 3. Ilyana : Are you looking for me? Adam : All my life. 4. Marya : Are you running towards something or running away from something? 5. Sufi : There are millions of people in this world but why did we meet? - It's all fated. and, what I liked about this movie is obviously the idea of loneliness which is a part of our lives, (apart from the romanticism) even when you're in love. People get lonely sometimes and that includes me. Things can change in a blink of an eye when the right person enters your life at the wrong time (like, why, right?) for reasons only you understand after awhile or maybe never. There was a scene when a guy said that his life will change in God's will. As a person who doesn't believe in serendipity whatsoever, I believe that sometimes my God sends someone for me to see things from a different perspective and sometimes, He takes away something from you and replacing it with something better. My favorite scene is when Sufi was reminicsing his past where he was rushing off for work while his wife was preparing breakfast. He hastily left without saying goodbye. The wife said, "I love you". At first I thought this scene could have been better if the wife said, "I love you, too" but guess what, Sufi entered the kitchen again just to say, "I love you, too". I was "awww-ing" like nobody's business. Another best scene would be, "Teary eyes alert!" Khalif handing Imaan a heart shape paper which read : Temanku, Kekasihku, Syurgaku. (My friend, my lover, my paradise) I just find that scene somehow emotional, apart from the whole movie  Jajaja. Happy one is the flour fight scene in the kitchen and the slow-mo of flour drizzling down. Gosh, how romantic. Who says Malaysians aren't romantic? And the soundtracks! Omg-able. Anuar Zain's Mungkin wrapped up the movie perfectly. Acting wise, talented line-ups and some new faces. It was so surprising to see Nasha playing such character and I just love Afdlin Shauki, his flair for humor is undeniable. Vanida Imran? Hands down. Reefa played almost the same character as he did in "Ghost", it was fun having him in the movie. If there's a thing that I didn't quite like about this movie, it would be the absence portrayal of an independent career woman and I find Imaan's hair very disturbing to certain extent. She's lucky to have a bad boy in her life, though. Syed Husin did a good job playing the character. People, if you feel like unleashing your emotional side, watch this movie. It's worth every tear you wept in the cinema. Oh, sepi. Back to reality. I had E-Writing today and I swear it reminds me of my Modern Math class million years back. It's not Math without homeworks. Smell the hint? At least I'm enjoying (meaning may vary for personal interpretation) the last half of my final semester. In denial French National team supporter a.k.a Ash : Loser no.9 scored one just now. Later, Germany will equalize and win this match. Now is half time. Me : Oh! You didn't text me 'cuz it was a Spanish goal! Envious! Ash : If the goal was logic and wasn't out of fluke and amazing, I would have texted you. Me : YOU COULD HAVE JUST SAID THAT YOU WERE ENVIOUS! 0437 hours Ash : 1-0. I swear to God it was a lame match. It was a foolish and lucky goal. I regret watching it. Me : Chillax. At least you watched the match. Ash : Although Torres' hair is like mine after taking shower, I still hate that dude! Me : Cut that out! Thanks for informing me though. I bet you'll have a sad sleepless night since Germany lose. VIVA ESPAÑA Campeones! olé olé olé! The best part of this is that they really deserved it!
